RIDE (Research Innovation & Development Enterprise) is a joint effort by professionals cutting across several fields, including Mechanical / Electrical Engineering and Medicine. The main aim of RIDE is to provide localised solutions to medics grappling with expensive tools as they provide medical care.

Design of mechanical Laparoscopic positioner

This project proposes a cost effective and simple laparoscopic positioner used during surgery around the abdomen. The proposed innovation should lift weights of up to 100 N through a distance of up to 50 cm. The proposed lifting mechanism is shown.

Seawater Evaporation Salt Production: Comprehensive Review and Optimization Strategies

Seawater evaporation is the predominant method for global salt production, supplying over 300 million tonnes of sodium chloride annually. This review systematically examines foundational principles, calculation methodologies, real-world loss mechanisms, advanced pond geometries and materials, hybrid solar concentrator integrations, process monitoring and automation, seasonal adaptations, environmental and economic considerations, policy frameworks, and future research directions.
